my favorite kitchen items

when Adam and I got married seven (!!) years ago, I was fresh out of college where I lived in a very typical apartment with hodge-podge furniture and no real grasp on my design preferences. so when I created our wedding registry, I chose very simple and basic kitchen products, not knowing what I liked (or even what I needed) and that’s what we’ve been using for the past seven years.

flash forward to this past summer, I was prepping yet another boring dinner on a janky, yellow, slippery piece of plastic that was supposedly a cutting board and realized, “wow, I hate this cutting board. why do I even have still have this? I need something nicer that I actually like.” and that’s what started my idea to begin slowly replacing almost all of my kitchenware. my birthday and Christmas were both coming up and I figured it would be the perfect time to ask for all new kitchen stuff.

guys — it was the best idea EVER. having beautiful kitchenware that I truly enjoy using has completely renewed my desire to cook delicious and nourishing meals for my family. it has helped me keep our cabinets way more organized. and it even makes doing the dishes more tolerable.
