hello there, friend! thanks for being here.
welcome to a snapshot of my daily life and all of my favorite things. cozy clothes, pretty home goods, nontoxic diys, and honest (& funny) moments as a mom and wife.
this website is probably the most PUT-TOGETHER part of my lifeβ¦
and I really want you to know that. I have no goals of trying to make you believe that all of these pretty photos and neutral colors donβt come with a lot of mess because they most certainly do.
ninety percent of the time, my hair is in a greasy ponytail and our kitchen floor is sprinkled with pieces of dried-up scrambled eggs. my clothes are constantly covered in stains from snotty noses and sourdough starter, and my car is a perpetual mess. sometimes we still almost run out of money a few days before our next paycheck (but not as often as we used, praise the Lord!), and laundry piles up faster than I can blink.
but there is beauty in it allβ¦
in the sink full of dishes,
in the sleepless nights,
in the silly fights,
and the loving apologies,
and I want you to see it too.
as an army brat, i moved 12 times before i graduated high school. i swore up and down iβd never marry a man in the military, and i DIDnβt.
I married a poet. a journalism major with a minor in creative writing. no chance heβd end up joining the army a few years after we got married and weβd move eight times in seven yearsβ¦.right? wrong. thatβs exactly what happened. and to both my and your surprise, I wouldnβt change a thing.
my husband, Adam, and I got married in 2015 after I hard-core stalked him in our 300 person lecture hall my senior year of college. once I convinced him that I wasnβt a stalker, I was just in love with him, he finally agreed to date me. we were engaged nine months later and got married just seven months after that. he is my best friend, and building a life and family with him is a blessing I donβt deserve.
we currently live in Georgia with our two daughters, Margot + Harper β but donβt get too comfy cuzβ¦weβre moving soon ;)
My fave things
my hope in sharing things I love with you here is not to encourage you to make unnecessary purchases or long for material items you donβt really need.
when I decide to share something, I make sure it falls into one of these categories:
1) it is improving my familyβs health + wellness
2) it makes my life easier as a mom
3) itβs beautiful and purposeful
4) it brings me so much joy, I canβt help but share β aka, basically all of my aerie purchases ;)
when you make a purchase using a link Iβve shared, you are directly supporting my family. I make a small amount of commission (at no cost to you, of course), and I donβt take that for granted. thatβs why I want to make sure that the products I share with you are ones that I truly love and stand behind.
