dude….why are they all so bad? it’s like our options are — 1. use this toxic shampoo that actually makes your hair feel clean or 2. use this weird nontoxic shampoo that makes your hair feel like it hasn’t been washed in 3 years. the struggle is freakin real for all of us! I have tried COUNTLESS clean shampoos, conditioners and other haircare products over the years. most of them were horrible, a few are pretty good, but I feel like I have finally found what I’ve been looking for…and it’s about DANG time. this isn’t sponsored in any way, I simply love these products and want to share!

Oway (short for Organic Way) is an amazing personal care company based out of Italy. Oway uses fairtrade, organic, bio-dynamic ingredients. they are cruelty free, vegan, and use infintely recyclable packaging. they grow, harvest, and distill 12 types of medicinal botanicals along with several other plants that they use for extracts, essential oils and hydrolates to make their products on their farm in Bologna, Italy. and everything is grown with 0 chemicals to meet the standards of a biodynamic farm. they carry everything from hair care to skin care to room spray, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a cleaner, more sustainable company.

1. hblonde hairbaith
blondies…this one’s for you. not only is it nontoxic, but it’s the best purple shampoo i’ve ever used! it is made with organic mullein, which is a naturally photoluminescent botanical with the ability to absorb and transform light into incredible brightness. this is the same thing that makes glow in the dark fish glow! photoluminescent botanicals store particles of light and the energy they expend is released as visible light, so this shampoo makes your hair appear lighter and brighter.
It is especially great for processed blondes because it restores the hair strands, and it’s rich in vitamin a, c and potassium, iron, calcium, and magnesium. date oil is used for ultimate hydration, and it contains flavonoids that protect the hair from environmental aggressors that would damage the hair and cause the color to yellow or turn brassy.
so basically it takes thoese unwanted brassy tones out of your hair all while restoring hydration and protecting the hair against oxidation to keep it bright, shiny and beautifully blonde!
I wash with it once a week, so it lasts forever (one bottle lasted me 5 months!) I notice an immediate difference in my hair when I use it — it’s brighter and any brassy or yellow tones are gone! bottom line, this is a must-have. bravo, oway!
2. thermal stress protector

the color protection hair mask can be used in place of a conditioner! I also only use this once a week right after I was with the hblonde hair bath. it uses kakadu plum, which is the world’s richest source of vitamin c for anti-aging and detoxifying. the oganic gogi berry protects against oxidative stress, biodynamic red vine protects against fading from free radicals and UV rays. it is lightweight, detangling, strengthens and improves hair structure, and leaves your hair looking so glossy and fresh! this is another one of those products where I can always tell when I used it. it leaves my hair so soft and so freaking shiny.
4. plant and mineral refresh dry shampoo
I’m not sure which I love more, the purple shampoo or this dry shampoo. again, I’ve used a TON of nontoxic dry shampoos (and evern found a few I liked) but nothing compares to this stuff. nothing. the reason I love it SO much is because it is so easy to blend into my hair. a lot of powdered dry shampoos feel like they’re just coating my hair. they leave a weird film and my hair somehow looks greasy and chalky at the same time. but this stuff absorbs dirt and grease so quickly and blends right into you hair. it actually leaves my hair looking fresh!
it detoxes and refreshes the scalp and hair using biodynamic mint, organic orange, zeolite, and ethical pink clay. they all work together to absorb excess oil and toxins from the hair and scalp while adding volume and texture. Its all-natural soothing and antimicrobial properties also calm itchy, irritated scalps while eliminating odor-causing bacteria. it works as a dry shampoo, volumizer/texturizer, scalp treatment, and deodorizer!
